Urban Decay Potion Primer ( New Packaging)

Tina-

The first eyeshadow primer that I bought was from Urban Decay. The infamous Eyeshadow Potion Primer. At first yes, it has such cute packaging and the stuff works great. The primer itself amazed me. It brought out the true potential colors of eyeshadows along with giving it a long lasting wear. After a few uses... It was gone! or was it? I totally thought I got ripped off for buying such little product for such an expensive price. I then came along some youtube videos and found out that the Packaging was the problem. The packaging was kind of like a lip gloss bottle but at the top the bottle had curves where all the  product was at. Sadly, the applicator couldn't get to that area.. After butchering my lovely potion primer, scooping out tons of leftover product then having it dry out because of the container I put it in.  I decided to never buy it ever again because it was just a hassle.
But..... Urban Decay finally got the hint and made a new improve " professional" packaging, with over twice the amount of product for $29.00. (Personally, I believe that is wayy too much to spend on a primer.. but the Original was .34 fl oz for $18 and the new and improved one is .85fl oz for $29, technically you are getting more.)

But sorry to break it to you Urban Decay, I have moved on to other better eyeshadow primers. MAC paint pot in painterly. I loveee this and I use it as an eveyshadow primer all the time, night and day. :)

Comparison:
UDPP is not as thick... and dries clear while MAC's paint pot is thicker/ creamy and is a nude color(light skin color). I must admit, UDPP is easier to apply over the eyelid than painterly... but I like the feeling and the lasting hold of Painterly better. The two products have different textures. If you like it thinner I recommend the UDPP, if you like it a little thinker I recommend the PP. (I Prefer MAC's PP) You get for .17fl oz for $16.50, ideally comparing it to the original UDPP it is cheaper along with more product. It also could be used as a shadow or highlighter.

Urban Decay, It is a good idea to change the packaging of your signature Eyeshadow primer... but it's a bit too late for me.
(I'm not claiming that MAC's Paint Pot is better, I just prefer it) ( I love Urban Decay :D)

Well Ladies I hope this helped! Leave a comment telling us about your Favorite Primer and what works for you!

Red Stallion

Tina-

Hello ladies! Sorry for not posting in awhile. School is kicking my butt! Anyways heres a little quick something to catch your eye.

Red Stallion from China Glaze.
This is a polish from the haul awhile back with Joyce. I believe that I put two coat. This color reminds me of my car. :D  It's not quite red nor orange... It't like red-orange haha and it sparkles when the light hits it. It's such a beautiful and fun color. It's a shiner, I literally cannot take my eyes off it, such a distraction during school. It's not glittery, but it does has a finishing shine to it. Depending on how the light hits it, the color ranges from red to orange.

(Sorry I got some it on my palm teehee)

More posts coming soon. Enjoy & Thanks for looking

Homemade Headband Holder

Tina

Hello ladies! Do you have trouble storing your headbands? or simply have too many and don't know how to organize them. Well I have this problem and I decided to make a homemade headband holder! It is environmentally friendly and it organizes your headbands! Lets get started!

This is what you will need:

Easy Tack or a glue gun ( or any type of glue)
Mod Podge
An empty oatmeal container

Scrapbook Paper
Ruler
Scissors( or a cutting board if you can't cut straight like me)
Paint Brush ( Any size, Bigger the better)
Writing utensil

1. Start off with cutting your scrapbook paper into a size that will fit around your container and a piece for the top. My scrap book paper wasn't long enough so I cut another one to fill in the rest.

2. spray the back of the scrapbook paper with the easy tack or use glue( you can even use the mod podge as glue) . Carefully wrap the paper around the container. Make sure that it is glued on well and that it can hold on its own.

3. Using a paint brush, evenly coat over the scrapbook paper with the Mod podge. It might leave some white streaks, but don't worry about it, it will dry clear. I put an extra coat where the ends of the paper meet so that it would be secure. Do the same to the top. Let it dry (It dries fairly quickly) then WAALA! Instant headband holder!

You can also putt the hair bands and the elastic headbands inside the container. :)

Make sure to leave me comments and pics on how yours came out!
Also leave a comment if you have any questions!
Enjoy and Thanks for looking!

(CCP) Damaged hair to Healthy Hair!

Tina

Okay so I'm pretty excited about this blog stuff so heres another blog! Haha, We probably don't even have any viewers yet.. allwell.

I've had many people asked me in the past how do you keep your hair so healthy when dying your hair all the time. Well, I don't dye my hair "all the time". Usually once you dye it, you should leave it alone for 3+ months before dying it again. You need to let your hair rest. Since dyes are very harsh... in the mean time you need to repair your hair and let it recover! You can do this routine even if you don't dye your hair. No matter what it will just make it healthier and make you happier.

Condition.Condition.Protect.

Step 1:Deep Conditioner.
So when I say double condition, I don't mean you need to condition your hair rinse and repeat. You need a deep conditioner and a leave- in conditioner.

Aussie - 3 min Miracle
This is the deep conditioner that I have been using for who knows how long.. It is inexpensive (under 3 dollars at Walmart) and works wonders. I use this probably around 3 times a week depending on the weather and how my hair is. When using it make sure you concentrate on ends of your hair and your mid shaft. I don't really put conditioner around the hair near my scalp. Heres the reason why, when having long hair (my hair) your natural oils have a hard time reaching your mid-shaft and the ends of your hair, it stays around the area of your scalp, therefore you need to concentrate on those spots when conditioning. Where as for shampooing you would concentrate on the hair near your scalp. The bottle says to leave in for 3 mins you can leave it in for that long or even longer ( really depends on the damage of your hair). You could even leave the conditioner and wrap your hair with a warm towel then rinse in  30 mins.

*To help seal in moisture, try first rinsing your hair with warm water, lather the conditioner to mid-shaft and ends, leave for desired time then rinse with cold water.

Step 2: Leave-in Conditioner

HealthySexyHair &Garnier Fructis
So after you rinse out your hair and your done with the shower add leave - in conditioner to towel dried hair. The ones that I've used and actually liked are the two above. I am currently using HealthySexyHair, which is a liquid based spray on conditioner. I recommend this one if your hair isn't severely damaged. The one on the right is  Garnier fructis Sleek and Shine. It is a cream based conditioner that is better for unmanageable and damaged hair.

Again concentrate on the ends and the mid-shaft. If you are using the cream base I have only used a dime size for my long hair. More doesn't necessary mean that it will be more conditioned.

*I rarely blow dry my hair, I always let it air dry.

Step 3: Protect

Fantasia- Heat Protector&Got2b Guardian Angel
Now you need to protect your hair when using heating tools. (straightener or curling iron etc.) The left one is a serum that you need to really watch out on how much you put on because it will make your hair very oily... I would say like half a dime maybe even less I don't really use it anymore because of that reason but it will be good for people with thick and dry hair because it is Aloe enriched. (It is also a Hair Polisher) Got2b is an amazing brand. the Guardian Angel is a spray on liquid base they have specific ones for curls and for straighten. I like this one a lot because it is a spray and it doesn't weigh down my hair. (Plus it smells fantastic!)

Honestly if you use a leave- in conditioner you could skip the heat protectors... but if you really want to baby your hair, I highly recommend it.

Okay so thats about it! Remember to CCP and you will be on your way to healthier hair! If you have any questions leave me a comment or just let me know how it works out for you.
Enjoy&Thanks for Looking!

Labor Day Weekend Haul!

Tina&Joyce

So today we went to Ulta and a local beauty store to buy some goodies. :D

Tina bought:

Tokidoki Puttura Brush Set

                                                          Donutella Angled Eyeliner Brush
                                                            Mozzarella Eyeshadow Brush
                                                            Adios Amigos Crease Brush

I've been looking for these babies! It's sold out everywhere, but I go finally got my hands on it! Muwhahah. Anyways I actually got these at Sephora on Sat. I love love love these brushes! They are super cute and are the basic brushes that everyone needs! They are SUPER soft (ohhh Babies Butt) and are great quality! Adios compared to MAC's 226, I'd say that the 226 is fluffier, but they both do an excellent job of blending. When comparing Donutella to MAC's 263, personally I like Donutella better because it's angle isn't as steep and I feel as if I have more control over it. One downside is that it's hard to store because it has the brush on one side and a detailed end. :( Also the brushes are a little heavier than normal brushes due to their eraser like characters at the end of the brush. (It's okay though because it's cute :D)

On the left and middle is the eyeshadows from MAC
The Fabulous Feline Burmese
Skintone2
Burmese Beauty
Prized
Showstopper

Pigment
Antique Green

On the Right side is Kat Von D
Beethoven
Left to right:
Lucifer
Speed Blue
Razor Grey
Tequila
Sinner
Rad Purple
Leather
Galeano

Okay so I did my mom's makeup yesterday and I use the MAC palette and pigment. Burmese Beauty is a very unique color. When it's paired with brown it's more green, when its paired with green it's more brown! I guess I'm easily amused but I thought it was pretty cool. So usually I am not a fan of green eyeshadow but I surprisingly loved Antique green.  It is kinda like an evergreen color. It is a green that you could pack on that would be suitable for day or night.

The Kat Von D Palette is AMAZING for smokey eyes. I have only used Lucifer and Leather which is a matte black and brown. I shall update you on how the other colors are, which I'm sure will be perfect!

China Glaze!
Left to Right:
